Thatchers Barber Shop

I don't know why I went back to this barbers for the second time because the first visit wasn't brilliant but I will never go back again. Affronted with such outwardly curt and miserable staff I did consider walking out even after the bloke had started. As he begun to blindly snip away the misery became contagious and soon i was overwhelmed by an unusual feeling of vertigo mixed with depression. Uninterested in me or my hair everything about the experience was duller than dishwater. First he criticised my request (a simple trim), he suggested there was no point in styling my hair in any particular way because it was windy and after he finished he attempted to give me a centre parting which I've never had in my life which proved he was so disinterested he had failed to notice how my hair looked at the start. No coffee was offered and no acknowledgement of thanks when I paid. I'm not in the habit of writing reviews but as this was such bad service I feel compelled. Avoid.

Safeguard Plumbing

Safeguard Plumbing were top-rated on Check-a-trade so we booked them as we had several leaking taps that needed fixing. They replaced them with tap revivers but two lasted less than a month. Also broke the stopcock and left it leaking - they advised we should buy some mole grips in case we needed to use it in an emergency. They were upfront about parts and charges were reasonable comparatively, but it has cost us more in the long run to put right the damage they did.
