The people who write some of these reviews are a joke! You could not get a more efficient or friendly post office if you searched for a very long time! I make a point of going there-even if I no longer live near there! The staff always have the time to search out the best currency deals for example. And as for the overcharging-what a complete load of trash. I've never witnessed anything bad with regard to children whilst I have been in there and the staff are superb with older people. This little place is a vital local service and one that cannot be lost. Such garbage written by people must be a big slap in the face for such dedicated and hospitable people. I reckon if the parents in question continue the parenting classes, problems should ease. But they are clearly at a very early stage. Pathetic!
Keep up the good work!

I find both members of staff who work in here really rude, the man is worse and he seems too busy to bother with you. I'm pretty sure they overcharge on parcels too. I always dread it when I get a card through my door to go there. Mind you, these days the delivery man doesn't even bother to leave a card, just leaves my packages on my bin with no notice until I find them outside! Poor service all round.

Great post office, my favourite in the area. The staff are always extremely friendly, and are very helpful, always ensuring I get the best price on anything I sent. I would even go a little out of my way to go to this post office instead of another.

A lovely local Post Office, the people who run it are very efficient and from my experience warm and friendly. If you compare it to the nightmare of waiting at other Post Offices, where there is no connection with the staff whatsoever, where nothing is sold in the shop any longer and, as has happened at the Cambridge city centre branch, they are replacing staff with machines and enforce a ticketing system, I am thankful for a Post Office like Shelford which supplies everything you could possibly need, as well as being run by real people who run it personably.

Completely agree with previous reviewer, the woman that works there / runs it is so rude about children, she obviously hates them / all parents for some reason. Mine were standing 1 metre away from me, touching nothing, and she called out loudly across the long long queue 'would you supervise your children'. Everyone else in the queue thought it was bonkers as they were being so good and were actually motionless!

I would agree with the previous reviewer. There is a woman that works there that can be rather rude. Children are clearly not welcome in this place as every time my wife takes the children with her, this lady basically complains if the children don't simply stand in one place and do not touch a single item in the shop - even if they are selecting something to purchase. Totally uncalled for.
The man is very helpful.

If you find yourself in my situation where you have to use this post office to arrange for a letter to be re delivered make sure you don't deal with the very rude and unpleasant woman behind the counter. I phoned first to make sure my letter was there and she told me she didn't have time to deal with my request because she was too busy and suggested I wait at home for the letter to be redelivered because it wasn't her problem and then put the phone down on me! The man who works there is lovely so be warned. I would have put no stars for this review but its not possible
