Saint Thomas's C Of E Church Halliwell

I spent many happy hours at St Thomas Halliwell when I was in my teens which is now about 60years ago. Harold Kirkman was the Vicar then and Rev W. Vanstone the curate. I often think back and wish that I could live it all over again. I had so many friends there but have lost contact with all of them.

Gilnow Motors Ltd.

Been using Gilnow for at least 15 years and they have never let me down. Always courteous, always get telephone approval before starting any work once a fault has been diagnosed and reasonable prices. I rarely recommend anyone but for these guys I'm happy to make an exception.

Tonge Moor Dry Cleaners

Do not go anywhere near this dry cleaners. They totally runined my daughters bridesmaids dress. I went to collect it the day before the wedding and all the flowers that were stitched on the shoulder were hanging off. It was in perfect condition when I took it in. The mark on the front hadn't come off either. They were willing to let me walk out of the shop without saying anything. When I pointed it out to them they told me there was nothing they could do. I had to have 3 telephone conversations with the Manager who was totally unhelpful before I got the £9 cleaning charge back. He was totally uncooperative and rude. I will now have to pay to get it repaired. One wedding day TOTALLY RUINED!

Ken Bromley Art Supplies

Found this company by word of mouth. Ordered an item unavailable in Canada. It took a week to get it via airmail. It takes two weeks for a letter to come from Toronto to here about 200K. Need I say more Prices are good and am now salvating over the catalog they sent me. Rating as per as I am concerned is 5-star Plus.
