In response to the previous review, we feel we need to defend our position with regards to such accusations as this is beyond the control of Transglobal Express. The price you are quoted at the time of booking is based on either the physical weight or volumetric weight. All parcels are then check weighed and measured by the courier i.e. UPS, DHL, and TNT. Transglobal Express is subsequently invoiced based on the check weight or size recorded by the courier. If there is a discrepancy between the information provided by the customer and the checked weight and size recorded by the courier, the difference in price will be passed on.
Where price adjustments occur, we are more than happy to provide additional information from the courier on request i.e. invoices, screen shots of their audit, and dispute the charge if necessary, with supporting evidence from the customer.
Whilst we do of course acknowledge it is unlikely customers will take photographs of their parcels prior to shipping, disputes of this nature are very difficult to resolve without evidence and customer co-operation. As such, customers are notified within days of collection, therefore allowing the customer to reconfirm the weight and dimensions once the shipment has been delivered and provide evidence to support the dispute. We will use our discretion to resolve disputes where exceptional circumstances arise
