Oakdale Fencing (Landscapes) Ltd. - Nuneaton

Very poor services, when ordered fencing, posts, and sleepers was promised that would be delivered AM, on the day of delivery, AM passed no delivery, when contacted told van would be leaving with our order within the hour, over an hour later no delivery, contacted them again to be told, driver not back yet, should be delivered sometime in the afternoon. No contact from the firm to apologise for the delay, no offer to remove delivery charge due to delay, also need to be aware that they will only drop outside house, will not assist in getting items into garden. Will not be using this company again. Now had to rearrange new delivery date, due to other commitments. Fingers cross they deliver when they say this time. Staff giving us different info.

DO NO STAY AT THIS B & B. its absolutley filthy. The staff are not at all friendly or welcoming. They were very abusive when a refund was asked because i was not willing to stay in the disaster of a B & B. I have hand on heart seen cleaner dog kennels.

Michael Davis Associates - Abingdon

I visited Michael Davis when a persistent problem in my lower back continued after chiropractic care and yoga were ineffective at healing it entirely.

I remain unconvinced that Davis' treatment did much to help the problem, but my main concern was his choice of discussion. At one point during the treatment, he referred to a previous client (not by name) and called her "insufferable." He then said she was the "kind of woman who either needed a hobby or to have an affair." To me, this is utterly inappropriate.

It was a waste of £50 and entirely disgraceful.

Also just to note - the facilities are strange as well. There is a see-through curtain at the front of the treatment room, which looks out onto a pavement and road.

My advice would be to find an osteopath that behaves professionally. Davis isn't it.

The Murgatroyd Arms - Halifax

Ate there midweek sometime in late April and found things very average at best. Cutlery was dirty, service not great, food ok ish but wanted something more substantial than a starters
Would not recommend to friends as there are lots of places doing a much better job.
Does not look like the owners know how to manage a pub and looks like part time kids working there without a lot of direction

Allen & Harris - Kilmarnock

We put a bid in for £38k on a flat, accepted, went in to start the mortgage application, by the Tuesday they said the flat was on at the wrong price. What actually happened they accepted another higher bid, put us on hold until we pulled out and then charged us £399 for starting the mortgage process. They will tell you it will cost £399 to arrange the mortgage but they do not tell you if for any reason, ie they accept another bid they will charge you £399. Stay clear or at the very least use your bank for the mortgage as you have the risk of losing £399 when you do not need to.

John Rayner Farms Ltd. - Hitchin

Glebe Farm (Rayner Farms Ltd) have erected an illegal fence and gate on land they do not own - across The Knapp road in Haslingfield - effectively blocking off all access and removing the only safe turning-circle. Vehicles now have to reverse about 100 yards down a narrow gravel road, around blind corners where there are disabled residents.

The Farm have admitted to the County Council that they are wishing to seek adverse possession on the unowned land and refuse to move the gate (or even leave it unlocked) even after numerous attempts at trying to resolve this peacefully from various residents and councillors.

Their unreasonable behaviour and actions are unacceptable - I have to reverse down a very narrow dangerous road, avoiding disabled residents and around blind corners because of their greed! It's disgusting what they have done. Why can they not just move the gate to their official boundary instead of across a road that everyone uses?

I been taking LOMOTIL co-phenotrope for IBS for 3 years now i have tried all the other IBS product with no help whatsoever and life was miserable until i was prescribed Lomotil. I too was told by my chemist that it is no longer available now i am really worried as life was unbearable before and i cant go back to how i was before, i am also worried this will affect my job which i do full time, please tell me why it has been stopped is it going to be available again or is there anything else that is like LOMOTIL, as mebeverine, buscopan and colpermin are useless. please help

We too have been ripped off by this dealer.
A vehicle we bought in good faith is not as it seems, I would avoid anything to do with this man at all costs.
It wasn't even a cheap vehicle either.
I have subsequently spoken to a friend who works at a main dealer with a GOOD REPUTATION and he just laughed as soon as he heard the name Charles Gooch. It seems he is the epitome of a dodgy salesman.
Avoid anything to do with this guy at all costs.

David Stovell Building - Epsom

We decided to have some major building work done in our house this year (2013) and were incredibly worried about the consequences of ending up with a ‘rogue trader’! We found David Stovell and his team to be fantastic builders, incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. They have transformed our house with amazing attention to detail and we cannot recommend them enough to anyone who wants any type of building/carpentry work undertaken.

Loxx - Ayr

I have attempted to make an appointment at Loxx on two occasions as I am looking for a new salon. On the first occasion they said they would call me back with availability and never did. On the second occasion I made it clear that I was looking for a Tues appointment, the girl asked 3 times if I was available on the Saturday. At the end up I very politely said I would just leave it, she slammed down the phone. I wont call again.

Wouldnt bother going to this pub the landlord Neil marshall will try and con money out of you, by either giving you less change than you should have or telling you a drink is more that what the prices are. His attitude is appalling and he treats all customers with disrespect. Mr Marshall also is false advertising the drinks prices as he will tell you it's more money when you get your drink as to what is being advertised outside the pub.

The Grove Inn - Shrewsbury

Dropped in here for a drink, as I'd never been in before, there was nobody tending the bar, so I popped to the toilet before ordering a drink. As I returned a very hard faced woman literally stepped out from behind the bar to face me and very rudely asked 'can I help you?!' I was so taken aback by her rudeness that I decided against staying for a drink and left with her giving me dirty looks.

Won't bother with that place again

North End Bowling Club Ltd (The) - Portsmouth

A super little club with it's entrance just inside Beresford Road. It boasts social membership and family membership prices as well as full membership which covers bowling and social membership.

For bowlers there is access to indoor short mat bowls and an outside green, it is part of the Portsmouth & District Short Mats Bowling League but is also a place where as a newcomer you can be taught the game and develop an interest without having to commit to competitions or league matches if you do not wish.

As a social member you can enjoy a game of darts, pool, snooker, a members lounge with bar and TV. It has an active social committee who run monthly social events at the club such as skittles, shuffleboard, film evenings and various different musical events. In addition monthly meat raffles run alongside bi monthly alternating quiz and bingo evenings on 1st Friday of each month. Christmas yields a Children's party with Father Christmas and presents. The annual Christmas event for adults includes a large raffle, annual prize giving and quiz. finally we enjoy a fabulous family orientated New Year party with Disco and American supper.

The function hall upstairs can be hired out for private events, there is access to an in house DJ and chef for any buffet needs.

The annual open day is open to everyone in June and includes a barbecue as well as the chance to look round and try any sport you fancy or even just enjoy a drink in the members lounge.

All this for a very reasonable membership fee.

2nd visit - Staff didn't even know what i meant when i asked for the chips open and were not capable of even wrapping them properly - and so they ended up all over the floor!
Don't know if they were greasy this time as I didn't get to eat one.

World of Mowers - Nottingham

They may well know about servicing and selling mowers, but when it comes to customer service....FORGET IT!

I dropped my lawn tractor in for service and explicitly told them that if it was going to cost me more than the £179+vat, to call me before they did any other work. This was because last time I took it in they landed me with a huge bill. So I told them and was hugely delighted to find out when it came to pick it up...guess what?....yes only another £70 worth of extras!....without my consent!

If you value the contents of your wallet...dont take it here!

The Old White Horse Inn - Neath

Hi there. To anyone..particularly families please avoid this pub if you want a nice Sunday roast dinner. You will be told (like us by the manager) that this pub delivers the "best food around". What an absolute joke to honest paying customers that is. We went there after bypassing another pub because it was off the beaten track trying to find a little gem next to waterfall walk. Wrong move big time! Me my wife and my two teenagers. My mate his partner and her teenager daughter.. All very hungry sat down and ordered a 2 course ( roast dinner and desert) I payed for my family and my mate payed for his family. The waitress came out with a small bowl of veggies consisting of 3 pieces of colliflower some runner beans and a few carrots. THAT was for all 7 of us to share wtf? Followed by a minuscule teaspoon of apple sauce. Also a small bowl of new potatoes they expect us all to share (fight over) these . Then the worst bit came when they bought in the meat.. Stale old beef and chicken on 7 plates with a teaspoon of gravy on each with 2 small roast potatoes unpalatable to any keen eater with normal taste buds. Honestly there's was so many things wrong with the useless service and tight fisted amount I could drone on for ages.. We did voice our concerns to the staff but they didn't seem bothered and reluctantly bought 6 small new potatoes in.. Thinking that we should actually pay extra for them! Seriously what an insult to good paying customers. Sharing a bowl a food between 7 ? I've never payed so much (8.45 each) and got so little.. Now for the best bit. The food was absolutely awful we were starving but my son left what tiny dinner he had and so did my mates partner. Also starving. We decided to not pay for the deserts and promptly left putting the whole crap occasion down to a bad experience! Went for a drive in the breacon after my mate who was following us suddenly stopped his car..his partner jumped out the car and threw up twice!! After a day with 3 of us on the bog were finally getting over what was the worst dinner any of us have EVER had the misery to experience.. Go to this horrid pub at your own peril.
