It’s summertime, so you know what that means! It’s time to put on your swimming trunks and get to surfing! I’ve ridden the old waves myself from time-to-time and these are my top 7 surfing spots around the world!

Trust me fellow surfers, you’ll want to visit these places, where the waves are always tall!

1. The Caribbean

If you’re hitting the waves in the Caribbean, you can’t afford to miss Rincon, Puerto Rico. I would also recommend Cabarete in the Dominican Republic. It’s an excellent bohemian enclave that’s long been a hotspot for surfing!

2. Hawaii

Honestly, anywhere you go in Hawaii will offer some pretty sweet surfing, but there are some killer spots on Maui and Kauai. Of course, there’s one island of Hawaii that beats them all.

3. Oahu – Hawaii

We have to give Oahu it’s own place on this list. This is the home of surfing, but more than that, it’s home to the North Shore which has a ton of great spots.

4. Queensbury Point – South Africa

This is an excellent spot to grab some waves. The locals are friendly and the waves are typically over 4 feet!

5. Sumbawa Islands – Indonesia

This location offers some of the best and most consistent waves in all of Indonesia. Just be prepared to share the water, this is a popular spot.

6. Tasmania – Australia

This little-known spot has become a huge draw for surfers. It’s uncrowded, but has some of the best six-meter waves you’ve ever seen.

7. Teahupoo

Our final location has its own reputation as well. Several surfers have ridden some of the biggest and heaviest waves ever ridden here. What do you think of our list? Would you surf in these spots? Let us know in the comments!
